Deaf & Hard of Hearing

While deafness is sometimes called “the invisible” disability, it is better to think of the Deaf as a distinct culture. The Deaf culture consists of history, values, behaviours, art, and sign language as the main means of communication. The hard of hearing live between the hearing and the deaf “worlds” and can easily feel isolated.
